The Black Mountain, last section before the top carpark. This section is accessed from the North in the village of Llangadog to the West of Llandovery. The climb is just over 2 miles long and has an assent of 689 feet with an average gradient of 6%

Average (50 years old 76 KG) cyclist climbing up a famous local hill. Its not hard all the way but one section (thankfully short) is bonkers at a max grade of 35% according to strava. Maybe you wold like to attempt this climb one day ;-)

    just lost my kio in ice storm that centre post broke (pvc) cant believe how good your hex beam is made looks like i need to order on for my qth that is close to ocean and we do have pretty severe ice storms at least once a year

    Hi Anthony, will the baseplate connect directly to a scaffold pole negating the need for the stub mast. It is a standard 2" aluminium scaffold pole.

    Nice design. note: There should be 3 threads showing past the locking nuts that hold the upper and lower hubs to the plate. Again nice job. 73 Leo k

    Interesting. The feed system is not isolated from the mast. One side is common with the mast. Would you connect one side of your dipole to the mast? If not, then why would you do this with your Hexbeam driven element?

    Looks really nice and may have helped with mine as I had an Ally mast which was not really man enough, but I just got a steel mast in addition and that takes the weight fine, but the Hexbeam is the best antenna I have ever used!

    Hello. I have ordered the Hexbeam and will be using 48,3 mm tubing that runs to the rotator. What is the distance from the top of the tube to drill the 8 mm hole to secure the 8mm bolt that goes through the tube and the post. Thanks, 73, Phil
